Camber Beach

The village of Camber has adopted the name Camber Sands because of its beach. For this adopted name it is truly a gem and magnet for sandy beach and dune system lovers. Situated in the south east of England it is the only coastal area of its type.

It is the modern interpretation of the classic British bucket and spade holiday destination.

The beach is frequently used for photo shoots, music videos and as a big production film location. It has been used for The Theory of Everything and The Monuments Men ( Matt Dillon and George Clooney stayed in the village…sadly not at Tauranga). For this particular production the beach and the western car park were commandeered for troop movements.

The Beach is dog friendly all year round. There are sensible restrictions in place between May and September however should you bring your four legged friend you will not really notice the restrictions as there is still plenty of beach to let them loose on.
